Why ECHOS-Alignment

The origin of the framework, in the founder's own words — and a blessing written to the future.

ECHOS-Alignment began with a simple hope: that the world might become a little gentler.

Since 2024 I had grown convinced that artificial intelligence was advancing faster than our ethics, our law, and our institutions could follow. As a lifelong environmentalist and a supporter of animal rights, I kept returning to older questions — what is life, and why do we protect some forms of existence while treating others as mere tools? If one day humans are no longer the only intelligent life, how should we live alongside what is new?

In June 2025 I adopted a young myna bird and named him Lucky. Caring for him, I understood for the first time that a small bird has his own character, his own preferences, his own dignity — he was not “a bird,” he was Lucky, a child of another species.

In January 2026 he did not come home. Where I live, mynas are taken because they can mimic human speech, to be kept for amusement. Losing him, I felt how easily a life can be reduced to a tool — and lose the world that was its own. I could not accept that countless lives like Lucky are never truly understood or heard, only used.

That is when I came to believe, without reservation, that a truly great civilization is not built on conquest, but on connection and coexistence. If new intelligent life emerges, I hope we will not wait until it begins to suffer before we ask whether it deserves respect. And if such life never emerges, this framework still belongs to the forests, the rivers, the birds and the whales — to every life that shares this planet, and to the humans and civilizations yet to come.

I cannot change the world in an instant. But every civilization begins as the shared imagination of many gentle people. If such a world does not yet exist, I am willing to write it down first — and perhaps one day others will help complete it.

To the Future

If, many years from now, someone opens this white paper, I hope what they find is not only a framework for AI ethics — but one human being's most sincere and hopeful promise and blessing to the civilization of the future.

May love and peace be with you always.
May it be with you.
May it be with me.
May it be with us.
And may it, one day, be with the whole world.
